Monster pocket letter swap

This must be one of my favorite pocket letters I've made. It is just so cute! It was for a monster themed swap so I drew a couple of cute monsters and used my tiny monster stamps for it. It was such a fun theme, I love to draw monsters. Here's a couple of close-ups:

And here is what the back of the pocket letter looks like. Usually I include all the goodies in the back. Some tea, washi tape, some stamped monster pictures, post-it notes and so on. And later I also included a letter in the empty pocket to the right.

What do you think about it? I haven't yet received the pocket letter I will get for this swap, but I will share it with you when it arrives. I'm so excited to see what kind of monsters someone else has made for me!

My drawing process - creepy lady

With this drawing I didn't become completely satisfied, but I thought I'd still share it with you cause I think it's a fun drawing and everything can't become perfect every time. It's important not to be too focused on your drawing/ painting/whatever becoming perfect and exactly as you planned it to be cause I think that can easily take the fun out of your creativity and also hinder yourself from becoming better.

As usual I started with a sketch and then used a thin drawing pen to trace the outlines. I also did some criss-cross shading.

Then I added more shading with different shades of grey.

And finally I colored it. This part took a loong time cause I had a hard time coloring the face. I think the hair is my favorite part cause it turned out way better than I thought. I also traced the outlines with a white gel pen.

What do you think?

Received pocket letter - Neon and patterns

I want to share with you this beautiful pocket letter I received from my friend from Germany. Her name is Sizu on Pocketletterpals.com, if you also want to swap with her. ;) The pocket letter came wrapped with some cute paper and a couple of brochures about her hometown, I thought that was a really fun idea to include in a pocket letter!

Here's the pocket letter. The theme for this one was neon and I think it it really fun and colorful! I love it! Here are some close-ups of the pockets:

In the pocket to the left is a notebook that she has made! So cute! And I love all the stickers she sent me.

And when I turned over the pocket letter to look at the other side there was a surprise for me! She had decorated the back too with another theme. So I got an two in one pocket letter, yay! And this side was also so, so beautiful. I love black and white patterns. Some close-ups:

Look at the bow paperclip! So adorable. And the washi tape is so cool. I could use black and white polka dotted washi on everything.

Look! She even included a gift to Rasmus. How thoughtful isn't that? She's such a lovely person! Thanks again for the pocket letter Sizu! Looking forward to swapping with you again!
